Happy Holidays

Dear family,

it's been a long time, we've been doing many things lately. Just got back from Las Vegas three days four nights, laid out the sun, gambling little bit, saw that there were two shows that we be interested in. Went to see the Fab Four, the Beatles at the Venetian, and saw a magic show at the Monte Carlo, Lance Burton,Who put on an excellent show. Nancy and I stayed at the Flamingo on the strip. A lot of walking to and from all the casinos, viewing all the sites.

We had Thanksgiving dinner with Jennifer and Andrea , excellent tri=tip with potatoes and salad. It was nice and simple but spent all day cleaning up yard, of debris, and leaves. We then had family from my side Saturday along with the rest of immediate family, and it was a beautiful day with lots of sun.

Planning my week around the big civil war . This Thursday evening at five o'clock. Both teams are vying for the rose bowl, it's been a long time since that has ever happened, so... extra special outing for both teams. Winner goes to Rose bowl, the other goes to holiday bowl in San Diego.

I'm planning on going down south whether it be that Ducks goes to Rose bowl or holiday bowl. Heck I might even go to the beavers game if it all plays out right. I'll be down there for the national BCS game, also at the rosebowl. Go ducks, Beat the Beavs!!!! Patrick C.

GO DUCKS!!!

Hello family and friends,

Nancy and I had a wonderful weekend with grandkids, we went to honeyman on the coast, the first day we were there. It rained 1 inch in about four hours, next day was beautiful with sunshine. That lasted the whole weekend.

This Labor Day weekend, Nancy and I are going with some friends on an excursion to Winnemucca Nevada, they are having their annual rodeo stampede along with the Carnival, we'll get some gaming in at the casinos, and plan on touring the area, and get into my roots for there is a lot of Basque families that live in the area, and enjoy the culinary creations.

This trip, we will not have to drive, will leave the driving to the bus driver catch up on some reading and talking with friends, and seeing the countryside. Jennifer has got a new job through school system in Albany, Oregon as a speech pathologist. Andrea, is fighting fires with the Forestry service out of cottage Grove, working many hours during fire season. Valerie, was laid off finally where she was working in the dentistry office, in Eugene on the west side. She wasn't getting enough hours to pay for her child care and schooling, so she asked to be laid off, now she is unemployed and looking for work closer to home in Brownsville. Ryan is busy working on the eweb's new buildings being built on the west side of Eugene. Both Val,and Ryan had a wonderful weekend up north in Washington with friends, camping, and going to a concert with AC/DC. Hope all has a wonderful Labor Day weekend, and goDUCKS, beat Boise Pat C.

Hot August Nights

Hello, long time that I've been off the airwaves, how's everybody first of all? We have been busy traveling to Los Angeles for family reunion, which was excellent. We haven't seen much of the family for at least 20 years, and this was the greatest way to see all. We had our reunion at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, where 200 people met up and really had a great time visiting with each and every family member. The next day, Nancy and I, my mom and Maury went on our Mexican Riviera cruise leaving from San Pedro Harbor, with our first stop at Cabo San Lucas, second port Mazatlan, and our last port Puerto Vallarta. We went for a week and the weather was warm, and a bit humid, but very nice days. We returned on 10 August, and got laid up with a terrible cold near pneumonia, and a fever of hundred five for three days. We are going to honeymoon campground, ariving Friday, August 28,-Mon Aug 31st. We will have the grandchildren with us, I know that Peter and Heather will be arriving on Monday, August 31, but Nancywill have to go back to work that week. Always Pat C.

Looks like a little rain but that never stopped us before. We will be bringing some easy ups to sit under, and a stove to cook with. Is anyone bringing a Barbecue? We'll throw in some firewood ,and the usual stuff. Sally and Bill might be showing up during weekend. We will be bringing Big Red just in case we need to sleep above the high tide.

Hello All

Been Awhile,

Well its official, I'm retired, though its going to take time getting used to it. We have been staying very busy with our new adventure in buying a new property in Brownsville Oregon ,along with Val and Ryan. We to know how hard it is to get the loans off our existing property , What a whirlwind of events recently, from retiring and signing all the paperwork etc. and then retirement prep. Just had a insurance medical checkup yesterday for qualifying for term insurance to cover me , through prudential life. Will know if i get accepted in a week. We have been going up too Mt. Hood area for the last month, and experiencing many different venues, Went up to all the different ski areas, and snow parks, really enjoyed Timberline lodge, and especially Mt. Hood Meadows, spent the afternoon at a exhibition Half Pipe what an incredible site that was. Had excellent weather all 4 weeks, hopefully Val and Ryan and friends will get same this weekend. Really looking forward to trip too Florida, with M.L. and Phil, and then traveling too Washington D.C. finally for first time, should be a great experience. Speaking of traveling Andrea is in Lima Peru venturing into Inca Trails and visiting old Ruins and temples. She is hiking and going down river trips with friends she has just met, in a hostel she is staying. She will be moving down south on the coast, where she will be interacting with a school and learning new language skills and environmental issues, and living and adapting too a different lifestyle. She will be there for 2 months, and she seems to be enjoying her 1st week meeting new people and enjoying the sites and flavor of the people. Jennifer is preparing to finishing up school at the Univ. of Oregon, she has been working w/ lowell school district, working as an assistant to speech education and applying her education to finding that job in speech pathology . We plan to head up to Canada B.C. with M.L. and Phil and visit family on the way up , and while in Canada. Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Pat C.
